Graduate Students

We are currently looking for PhD students and MS students for the following projects:

  • Understanding degradation processes in Li-ion batteries;
  • Computational prediction of the optimal conditions for transition-metal recycling;
  • Development of machine-learning approaches for materials modeling.

Note that PhD and MS students have to be admitted to the PhD or MS programs in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Columbia University.

Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students who are interested in research projects in our group are encouraged to get in touch and to apply to the Research Experience for Undergraduates Summer Program.

Postdoctoral Position

We are continuously looking for excellent postdocs for research projects related to electrochemical energy storage and conversion with focus on batteries and fuel cells. Postdoc positions will involve the atomistic modeling of surfaces and interfaces with density-functional theory (DFT) and machine-learning techniques.
